本片围绕上世纪八十年代末以来，宁德市实施的一系列以“连家船民上岸”“大黄鱼实现人工养殖”“清海行动”为代表的惠民工程展开剧情，展现了宁德市各级政府学习贯彻“弱鸟先飞、滴水穿石”思想，铸就因地制宜、摆脱贫困的闽东精神的故事。本片采用童话的叙事手法，叙事风格温馨、治愈、充满梦幻色彩，讲述了船民小女孩月儿和守护自然生态的山海之灵圆圆之间关于友情和勇气的故事。 The film is inspired by true stories about the "relocation of boat-dwelling families to land" and the "revival of the critically endangered large yellow croaker" ,telling a story of friendship and courage between Luna, a little girl from a boat-dwelling family, and Yoyo, the guardian spirit of nature.
